Woodside Newsletter: Fall 2024
Sadly, summer is on its way out. We have said goodbye to many friends who are heading off to kindergarten; four out of the eight have been with us since they were infants! It is so hard to say goodbye, but we know they are going to do great things. While we say goodbye to some, I would like to welcome back our returning families, as well as a very warm welcome to all of our new families!
This Fall we are excited to spend some extra time outside embracing nature with our curriculum and of course the beautiful weather. The infants and toddlers are excited to put some miles on their new playground, while the preschoolers are becoming real scientists on their playground. We have been able to witness many habitats they have created, and our very own “barista” has been keeping us full of some yummy cold brews. 😊
We will be hosting our annual Parent Night on Wednesday, September 18th. Due to building codes, we need to stagger the start times. Please look outside your child’s classroom for more information.
Other Fall activities that we are looking forward to:
Our annual Halloween parade and our picnic at Valentine Hall. We will keep everyone posted on the route as soon as we lock it in. We are always excited to see what our friends Meg and Molly (in catering) will have for us.
Reminder:
We eliminated our August staff workdays and moved them to November. We will now be open Monday, November 25th and closed for staff workdays Tuesday and Wednesday November 26th and 27th. We will then be closed for the rest of the week for the Thanksgiving Break.
